Colman Equity is a new Angel Syndicate group, operating across the island of Ireland.  We match pre-screened investment opportunities with Angels looking to invest in a portfolio approach. We launched in April 2012, and already have over 20 investor members and are growing quickly.

The advantages of syndicated angel investments are twofold; the fundraising process is streamlined for the entrepreneur as syndicates offer greater added value through the collective knowledge and experience of its members, and for the business angel, risk is mitigated through the development of a diversified portfolio of investments for which financing and expertise is shared by the syndicate group. Business Angel investing is a high-risk asset class but by investing in a portfolio of unquoted, high-growth businesses, it helps spread the risk.

The core members of Colman Equity have extensive successful investment, entrepreneurial, turnaround and international business experience.

Our network’s vast commercial experience coupled with its financial investment will combine to accelerate commercial success in investments. This is achieved by matching our investor base with pre-screened investment opportunities in start-up, early stage and developing businesses. Given our close connections to Ireland’s vibrant up community we guarantee high quality deal flow.  Ultimately, Investors make their own investment decisions and can opt into investments on a deal-by-deal basis.

We have a process that streamlines the investment process and allows the investor, to find, screen and invest, in the most cost effective way, including standardised term sheets, and fixed legal fees.

We are always keen to attract new investor members and welcome the opportunity to meet with potential members to discuss our approach to investment.  We are an unregulated activity in terms of the FSA and therefore rely on certification of members as either High Net Worth Individuals or Sophisticated Investors as defined by the FSMA 2000.
